The Arctis Pro was SteelSeries' top-tier gaming headset until the release of its successor, the Arctis Nova Pro. It includes unique features such as a standalone base station with a volume knob and OLED display, the ability to pair via Bluetooth and 2.4GHz WiFi simultaneously, and the highly praised **hot-swappable battery system**. This system allows for uninterrupted wireless use by providing two batteries—one in use in the headset and the other charging in the base station.

The build quality of the Arctis Pro is exceptional. It features a lightweight headband made from a steel and aluminum alloy, complemented by a comfortable suspension headstrap ideal for long gaming sessions. The ear cushions utilize AirWeave performance fabric, similar to that found on the newer Arctis Nova Pro. The ClearCast boom microphone can be retracted when not in use. The audio quality is superb, thanks to premium 40mm speaker drivers equipped with high-density neodymium magnets, capable of delivering high-resolution audio up to 40,000Hz.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro Review by Matt Elliot

"The SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless boasts premium build quality, a comfortable design, and outstanding sound. Plus, the clever battery-swapping design means you’ll never be without power. As good as its sound is, however, I give the performance edge to the Arctis Pro + GameDAC. Sure, it’s wired, but it’s still very comfortable and versatile and $70 cheaper. Or you can save a bundle and opt for the wireless Arctis 7 for less than half the price."

The Arctis Pro was succeeded by the Arctis Nova Pro in 2022. While the Nova Pro, available for $270 on Amazon, offers upgrades like active noise cancellation and USB Type-C charging, it is not worth nearly double the cost of the Arctis Pro, especially considering our favorable review of the Arctis Pro.
