Rust Unveils Major Update with Improved Cooking, Farming

Rust, the beloved multiplayer survival game, has just released a significant update known as The Crafting Update, designed to enrich players' creative experiences with a host of new features. One of the standout additions is the culinary workbench, where players can now cook gourmet dishes like grilled chicken legs and enjoy them with a shot of Siberian vodka. Crafting these meals requires specific recipes, and indulging in well-prepared food can grant stat boosts and modifiers that significantly enhance your gameplay.

Players can now raise chickens and chicks in specially designed coops, providing them with a safe space to live, lay eggs, and thrive. Each chick comes with four essential needs: Hunger, Thirst, Love, and Sunlight. Failing to meet any of these needs can lead to their demise. The meat from these chickens will spoil if not properly stored in a working refrigerator, and handy timers on food items will alert you to their expiration dates.

For those with a penchant for sweets, wild beehives have been introduced, scattered among the trees. Extracting honeycombs requires careful handling and transferring them to player-crafted hives made from wooden boxes. Beware, as bees can be aggressive adversaries. To avoid painful stings, players must don protective suits, use water to douse themselves, or resort to flamethrowers. A novel addition to the arsenal, the Bee Grenade, looks like a jar of honey but unleashes three swarms of bees upon impact, sending players scrambling for cover.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete overhaul, now boasting a dedicated tech tree for plumbing and electricity. This upgrade enables players to construct sophisticated automated systems and even entire factories. In a move to enhance the gaming experience, developers have introduced premium servers, accessible exclusively to players whose Rust inventory is valued at $15 or more. This strategy is aimed at weeding out cheaters and disruptive elements, ensuring a more enjoyable environment for dedicated players.
