Conquering Kupolovrax: A Project Tower Boss Guide

Kupolovrax, a formidable boss in Project Tower, presents a significant challenge due to its projectile-heavy attacks. This guide details strategies to overcome this enemy and emerge victorious. While targeting its illuminated segments seems intuitive, attacking its carapace also inflicts damage.

Phase 1

Initially, Kupolovrax remains stationary on the platform. Maintain distance, consistently fire upon it, and utilize these evasion techniques:

  • Orb Ring Fall: Dodge roll just before the descending orb rings impact. Look up to anticipate their trajectory.
  • Orb Scattershot Fall: Strafe to sidestep the scattered orbs while keeping an eye on their descent. Dodge roll as needed for close calls.
  • Orb Line Push: This is the most challenging Phase 1 attack. The most effective strategy is to wait for the initial line, perform a forward dodge roll, and immediately follow with a dash forward.
  • Stomp: Simply jump over the shockwave; you can continue firing during the jump.

Phase 2

Kupolovrax takes flight around 66% health. Continue maintaining distance and firing, while employing these avoidance maneuvers:

  • Orb Scattershot Fall: The slow descent of these orbs allows ample time to strafe and avoid them.
  • Orb Ring Push: Hold your position until the rings are about to hit, then execute a left or right dodge roll.
  • Orb Line Push: Similar to Phase 1, wait for the first line, dodge roll forward, and immediately dash forward. Alternatively, dodge roll left or right, then dash in the opposite direction.

Phase 3

Triggered at approximately 33% health, Phase 3 closely resembles Phase 2, but features a modified attack:

  • Modified Orb Ring Push: This three-part attack consists of closing rings, two quick ring pushes, and finally, falling orb rings. Dodge roll left just before the initial rings, immediately dash right to evade the quick pushes, and then walk forward to avoid the falling orbs.

Project Tower is available on PC and PS5.
