In a statement on their website, The Pokémon Company acknowledged that many fans are struggling to purchase certain Pokémon TCG products due to overwhelming demand. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity," the statement explained. They assured fans that reprinted products would be available at participating retailers soon.
The company also plans to ramp up production for upcoming TCG expansions to boost product availability from the start. They will continue to reprint affected products to restock, including at the Pokémon Center.
Regarding scalping, The Pokémon Company indirectly addressed the issue by emphasizing their commitment to a seamless purchasing experience at the Pokémon Center. They use a virtual queue system during high traffic periods to prioritize fans. "We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," they stated, expressing gratitude for the community's patience and support as they strive to improve product availability for Pokémon TCG enthusiasts.
With these initiatives, The Pokémon Company aims to alleviate the stress of collecting and playing the Pokémon TCG, making it more enjoyable for fans when new sets are released.
