Orna RPG Launches NatureBlight for Environmental Cause

Orna: The GPS RPG is set to launch its next major event, Natureblight. This new in-game chapter begins May 30, 2025, and continues until June 14. As the latest installment in Terra’s Legacy, it challenges players to engage in an environmental conflict.

Natureblight Introduces a New Danger in Orna: The GPS RPG—The Great Murk

Northern Forge Studios continues to emphasize planetary themes, building on their earlier updates. Natureblight weaves real-world conservation topics directly into Orna: The GPS RPG.

This also marks the studio’s second participation in the Green Game Jam, backed by the Playing for the Planet Alliance. Regular players will recognize how Orna merges fantasy adventure with real GPS locations. The new event transports you to zones confronting critical ecological threats.

As the event unfolds, you'll be teleported across Orna’s world to visit interpretations of seven actual global sites. Each location introduces an animal guardian embodying the regional ecosystem where it lives.

You'll visit Prince Edward County in Canada to encounter the Beaver, then plunge into Oceania’s Coral Reefs. Explore the misty paths of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest alongside the Mountain Gorilla, or confront ancient frozen remains like the Bone Mammoth near Dunkerque, France.

Other guardians include the Giant Tortoise in Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands, the Giant Panda in Chengdu, China, and the Macaroni Penguin guarding the Antarctic Peninsula. By befriending these Animal Guardians, you can keep them as permanent companions once the event concludes.

What Exactly Is the Great Murk?

While traveling through each region, you will unveil the environmental destruction caused by the alien Terran civilization—deforestation, pollution, and species loss. Now, a similar corruption, the Great Murk, threatens to return, and you must help ward it off.

To complement the event, a Natureblight cosmetic and booster pack is available via PlanetPlay. It offers origin town decorations, character sprites, and temporary stat boosts. You can download Orna: The GPS RPG from the Google Play Store.
