Dogs are truly the best companions in video games, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is no exception. Mutt, Henry's loyal dog, goes missing early in the story, but finding him is crucial. Here's a detailed guide on how to locate Mutt in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mutt Location

Locating Mutt involves a side quest, but I'll streamline the process for you. Mutt can be found near a wolf cave, southwest of the Nomads’ Camp and just east of the river's bathing spot. Here's a screenshot to help you pinpoint his location:

The most straightforward way to reach him is by fast traveling to the Nomads’ Camp, then heading southwest into the forest. This path will likely lead you directly to the top of the cave. As you get closer, listen for Mutt's whines, which will guide you to a clearing near the cave where Mutt and some wolves are located.

Approaching the area will trigger a cutscene where you'll encounter Mutt and a pack of wolves. You'll also receive a tutorial on how to command Mutt in battle. At this point, you can decide to either fight the wolves or flee. Fighting them is recommended, as it's a good opportunity to level up your skills since wolves and wild animals are relatively easy to defeat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Once you've dealt with the wolves, Mutt will be at your command. You can interact with him by holding L1 while looking at him, allowing you to feed him or send him back to your home.

Finding Mutt During the Invaders Side Quest

It's worth noting that you might encounter the wolf cave during the Invaders side quest if you choose to interact with the Cumans. After getting drunk with them, Henry follows Vasko up a hill to fetch more liquor, and the quest leads you directly to the cave. This triggers the cutscene with Mutt and the wolves, but you'll have to deal with them while intoxicated.

For the best outcome, I recommend finding and rescuing Mutt during the day before progressing further with the Invaders quest. Managing wolves while drunk and in the dark is challenging, and attempting to flee could result in a fatal fall due to poor visibility.

That's how you can find Mutt in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
