The excitement is building as the next season of Daredevil approaches, and fans are buzzing about potential future developments, including the possibility of a Defenders reunion. In a detailed profile featured in Entertainment Weekly, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming and TV, expressed enthusiasm about the potential to bring back the street-level heroes—Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, collectively known as The Defenders.

While no plans have been officially confirmed, Winderbaum shared with EW, “It’s certainly exciting to be able to play in that sandbox… Obviously, we don’t have the unlimited storytelling resources like a comic book, [where] if you can draw it, you can do it. We’re dealing with actors and time and the massive scale of production in order to build a cinematic universe, especially on television.” He further elaborated, “But I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creatively extremely exciting and that we are very much exploring.”

It's known that Daredevil: Born Again will continue the story arc that began on Netflix. The platform previously hosted its own Marvel universe on a smaller scale, featuring shows like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. Winderbaum’s comments suggest that Daredevil: Born Again could serve as a springboard to reintroduce these characters on Disney Plus, aligning with Disney's vision. Notably, the new season will feature Jon Bernthal reprising his role as The Punisher, marking another successful transition of a Netflix hero to Disney Plus.

As anticipation builds, viewers will need to wait until the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again on March 4 to see how the series unfolds and to speculate on how Daredevil might connect with the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
