Mysterious Depths

Worlds Part II dramatically overhauls underwater exploration. Previously underwhelming, the oceans are now transformed into truly captivating environments. Immense depths, crushing pressure, and perpetual darkness present a significant challenge, countered by new suit modules and a pressure level indicator.
The absence of sunlight has fostered bioluminescent flora and fauna, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of glowing corals and creatures. Shallow water lighting has also been significantly enhanced, resulting in stunning visuals.

New marine life populates these depths, ranging from the relatively benign—fish and seahorses in shallower waters—to the truly terrifying—gigantic squids lurking in the abyss.

Building underwater bases is now a far more rewarding and engaging experience, offering gameplay reminiscent of titles like Subnautica.
New Planets
Hundreds of new star systems have been added, including a striking new type: purple star systems. These systems introduce new oceanic planets and entirely new celestial bodies—gas giants.
Gas Giants

Accessible after progressing through the storyline and acquiring a new engine, these gas giants offer access to some of the game's most valuable resources. While their rocky cores are reachable, players must contend with the intense storms, lightning, radiation, and extreme temperatures found deep within.

Relic Worlds

Expanding on previous updates' glimpses into ancient civilizations, Relic Worlds are now a distinct planet type, offering players the chance to uncover artifacts and learn more about these lost societies.
Other World Improvements
Significant enhancements extend beyond the underwater and gas giant additions. A revamped landscape generation system delivers even more unique and diverse environments.
Denser jungles, planets heavily influenced by their stars (resulting in extreme heat and adapted flora/fauna), and overhauled icy planets with new landscapes, creatures, and lighting, all contribute to a richer, more varied experience.

New extreme geological features such as geothermal springs, poisonous anomalies, and geysers add further challenge and excitement, along with the introduction of toxic mushroom spore worlds.

Updated Lighting

Lighting improvements extend beyond the underwater environments, enhancing the visuals of interiors, caves, buildings, and space stations. These enhancements are coupled with performance improvements, resulting in smoother transitions between locations and faster loading times.
Construction and Progress
New modules for upgrades and construction have been added, including new matter generators for the Colossus and a flamethrower for the scout. New ship types, multi-tools, and character customization options further enhance player agency.
Players can now also incorporate ancient ruins, such as columns and arches, into their base builds.
This overview only scratches the surface of the extensive changes. The complete patch notes provide a comprehensive list. We highly recommend experiencing these updates firsthand!
