What’s MageTrain Like?

In MageTrain, you take control of a line of heroes that trail behind you, much like a snake. Each hero autonomously attacks as you navigate through an arena, dodging enemies and obstacles. Your role is to strategically manage the positioning of your heroes, deciding who leads and who supports, as their abilities vary based on their position in the train.

The game launches with nine heroes, each bringing unique skills to the table. One hero even throws birds! You'll journey through eight distinct dungeons, battle against 28 different enemy types, and harness 30 skills to enhance your team. Along the way, you'll collect gold and power-ups to bolster your chances of survival.

Thanks to its roguelike structure, every run in MageTrain is unique. You'll navigate branching paths, make critical upgrade choices, and strive to last as long as possible. The game's setup is reminiscent of titles like Slay the Spire or FTL, with no fixed levels and no option to save your progress. If you make a mistake or get overwhelmed, you'll need to start anew.

It Isn’t Slow-Paced

What makes MageTrain engaging is the continuous improvement you experience with each run, even if you don't succeed. You'll learn when to play defensively, when to launch an all-out attack, and when to simply hold on for another 30 seconds.
