Ubisoft appears to be grappling with a series of unfortunate leaks concerning its unannounced game, Project U. Gameplay leaks first emerged in 2022, shortly after the closed beta testing phase began. These leaks have resurfaced two years later, indicating that the project is still active and in development. Recently, following what seems to be a reboot of the game's development, an introductory cinematic has leaked online.

The origin and authenticity of the cinematic remain unconfirmed. It was shared by blogger Shaun Weber, known for leaking gaming content. Weber has suggested that more videos from Project U could surface if the game's development continues long enough.

Project U is anticipated to be a session-based cooperative shooter, taking inspiration from the success of Helldivers 2. According to the leaked footage, the game's narrative centers around an alien machine invasion of Earth, with players assuming the roles of chosen individuals tasked with combating this extraterrestrial threat.

As of now, Ubisoft has not provided any official information regarding the formal announcement of Project U.
