J.C. Lee, the daughter of the iconic Marvel creator Stan Lee, has broken her silence in an exclusive interview with Business Insider, vehemently denying previous allegations of elder abuse against both her father and her late mother, Joan. These serious accusations surfaced in 2017, following Joan's passing, and were prominently featured in a 2018 exposé by The Hollywood Reporter (THR). The THR article painted a troubling picture, alleging that J.C. Lee, under the influence of three other individuals linked to the Lees, incessantly pressured her parents for financial gain and control over their assets. It further claimed that she had volatile, "powder-keg" interactions with Stan Lee, including verbal confrontations and at least one reported physical altercation. The report included photographic evidence of a bruise on Joan Lee's arm, which J.C. Lee has now strongly refuted.

In her recent interview with Business Insider, J.C. Lee dismissed the allegations as "a lie." She explained that she chose not to publicly refute the claims at the time of the THR article's publication, following advice from those around her. "You think I haven't regretted it to this day?" she expressed. "They are all lies. That photo is insane. I never did it." While acknowledging frequent heated arguments with her parents over financial matters, J.C. Lee firmly denied any physical abuse, stating, "I never ever touched my parents."

Stan Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a heart attack. The comprehensive Business Insider interview with J.C.
