Ironheart Trailer: Riri Smashes Truck, Meets Untrustworthy Hood
Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for "Ironheart," the much-anticipated Disney+ series set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Dominique Thorne returns as the titular character, Riri Williams, who first donned her armor in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" in 2022. Joining her is Anthony Ramos, who portrays Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer, embedded below, offers a glimpse into the series, spotlighting Riri's transformation from a supporting figure to a central superhero in her own right.
The narrative hints at a complex relationship between Riri and The Hood, with the latter initially seeming to mentor her, though his true intentions remain shrouded in mystery. "Ironheart," executive produced by Ryan Coogler, is set to premiere with a three-episode launch on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET exclusively on Disney+.
The series follows Riri as she reflects on her "internship abroad" in Wakanda, only to find herself expelled from MIT. This pivotal moment leads to a crucial decision point posed by The Hood: "Anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?" The trailer showcases Riri suiting up as Ironheart, taking to the skies, and engaging in high-octane action, culminating in a dramatic scene where she punches a truck into the air.
