Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era Tests Open Arena

Unfrozen has unveiled a fresh gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, highlighting core strategic elements like battle mechanics, diverse units, and immersive gameplay. Simultaneously, the studio opened registrations for the closed beta test of its Arena mode—interested players can sign up through Steam, with testing running from March 17 to March 28.

Scheduled for Steam Early Access in Q2 2025, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era will debut with six factions, three single-player campaigns, and three multiplayer modes. Ubisoft serves as the publisher for this eagerly awaited strategy title.

The developers recently showcased the Dungeon faction, revealing units such as troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. Each brings distinct tactical advantages to combat, deepening the game's strategic layer.

Unfrozen’s team acknowledged initial hurdles in designing the Arena mode, particularly balancing hero skills without spatial advantages. Through iterative testing, they refined these mechanics to deliver polished, competitive gameplay.

While targeting a PC release later this year, the exact launch date remains undisclosed. The development team aims to craft an experience accessible to franchise newcomers while satisfying longtime fans.
