Helldivers 2 has just rolled out a significant update, Patch 01.003.000, which is now available for both PC and PlayStation 5. This major update introduces new enemies from the Illuminate faction, enhances weapon customization and progression, and revamps the Superstore's inventory system.

Following teasers from developer Arrowhead, the game now features an intensified invasion from the Illuminate aliens. As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, players will encounter new foes such as the Stingray, which are jetfighters that provide aerial support for the Illuminate by targeting Helldivers with devastating strafing runs. Another addition is the Crescent Overseer, capable of laying barrages on Helldivers even when they're in cover. Additionally, the Fleshmob—a failed Illuminate experiment described as a Frankenstein’s monster made from Voteless parts—has been introduced as a formidable battlefield force that requires strategic effort to take down.
