Hades 2 Nears Full Release: "Closer to Finish Line"

In their recent X (formerly Twitter) update, Supergiant Games announced that Hades 2 has been in early access since May 6, 2024. The developer expressed gratitude towards the community for their support and shared that they are edging closer to the game's full release.

The post states, "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

Hades, the original game, also followed a similar path with an early access period that lasted 22 months before its full release. Supergiant aims to bring Hades 2 to full release faster, starting with a time-exclusive launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Launching First on the Nintendo Switch 2

Supergiant Games disclosed in a Nintendo Creator’s Voice video that Hades 2 will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the Switch 2 set to launch on June 5, Hades 2 is expected to be available around that time.

As the sequel to the beloved god-like rogue-like game, Hades 2 represents Supergiant's first venture into creating a sequel. The developers have approached this project with "a great deal of fear and respect."
