GTA 6 Slated for Record-Breaking Launch

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 star Ned Luke fuels anticipation for GTA 6, predicting blockbuster sales and assuring fans the wait will be worthwhile. This article delves into Luke's predictions and the ongoing development buzz surrounding GTA 6.
Rockstar Games' Unpredictable GTA 6 Approach
GTA 6's Potential $1.3 Billion Day-One Revenue

Ned Luke, the voice behind Michael De Santa in GTA 5, boldly predicts GTA 6 will generate a staggering $1.3 billion in its first 24 hours. In a recent interview with Fall Damage, Luke expressed his confidence in the game's success, highlighting Rockstar Games' knack for the unexpected.
He emphasized patience, assuring fans, "It's going to be worth the wait. From what I've seen, it's going to be amazing." He referenced GTA 5's impressive $800 million day-one sales in 2013, suggesting GTA 6 will significantly surpass that record. Market research firm DFC Intelligence projects over 40 million copies sold and $3.2 billion in first-year revenue, with $1 billion attributed solely to pre-orders.
The Return of GTA 5 Characters?

Luke offered insights into the possibility of GTA 5 characters appearing in GTA Online and potentially GTA 6. He noted Michael's absence from GTA Online, unlike Trevor and Franklin. He hinted at Michael's possible inclusion in a final GTA Online DLC or even a role in GTA 6. While Steven Ogg (Trevor) previously suggested a "passing the torch" scenario for his character, Luke remained coy, stating, "Maybe... Maybe not. You know Rockstar is not going to tell you anything."
GTA 6: In the Testing Phase?

Former Rockstar animator Mike York suggests GTA 6 is undergoing internal testing. In a since-deleted interview, he emphasized the game's unique unpredictability, stating, "There are a lot of things that can happen that you don't really think about until some random kid in his basement tries it." He believes the game is likely playable and extensively tested internally.
Rockstar Games unveiled GTA 6 with a teaser trailer in December 2023, but details remain scarce. Previous reports suggested a Fall 2025 release based on Take-Two Interactive's 2024 financial report, though this remains unconfirmed. For the latest updates, visit our dedicated Grand Theft Auto 6 page.
