Yotei Gameplay Reveal Set for July Before October Launch

Sucker Punch Productions will showcase an in-depth gameplay preview of Ghost of Yōtei during a dedicated State of Play event next month.

Following June 2025's State of Play stream, a PlayStation Blog post confirmed plans to reveal more details about the highly anticipated samurai sequel. Though Ghost of Tsushima's successor only appeared briefly during the presentation's finale, this served as confirmation that Sucker Punch remains on track for its October launch window.

While Ghost of Yōtei's fleeting appearance might have left fans wanting more, July's State of Play promises substantial gameplay reveals to ease anticipation. Though an exact date remains unconfirmed, this special presentation will exclusively highlight Ghost of Yōtei's enhanced mechanics - covering combat, exploration, and other key improvements.

Sucker Punch officially announced the Ghost of Tsushima follow-up last September, introducing new protagonist Atsu's violent journey through 1603 Japan. While fans have eagerly awaited details since the 2020 original, creative director Nate Fox assures the sequel will maintain the same culturally authentic approach that defined its predecessor.
