Gamescom 2024 Will Not Feature Silksong

Team Cherry's highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong will be absent from Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, according to Gamescom producer Geoff Keighley. This announcement has understandably disappointed many fans.

Keighley's confirmation on Twitter (now X) that Silksong won't feature at the Gamescom ONL event dashed hopes that had been fueled by earlier hints of unannounced games. While an initial lineup tease generated considerable excitement and speculation about a Silksong update—especially given the game's extended silence—Keighley's later tweet definitively ruled out its appearance. He emphasized that Team Cherry remains dedicated to the game's development.
