Attention, Sim enthusiasts—brace yourselves because the notorious Burglar is making a grand return in The Sims 4 with the latest update. Whether you're on PC or console, get ready to meet Robin Banks, the cunning thief who's eager to pilfer your Sims' possessions under the cover of night. While she typically strikes when everyone's in dreamland, don't be fooled—she's bold enough to attempt a heist even when your Sims are awake. Stay vigilant!

To thwart Robin's nefarious plans, equip your Sims' homes with a trusty burglar alarm. If triggered, it'll summon the police swiftly enough to catch Banks in the act and retrieve your stolen items. Even without an alarm, a quick call to the cops can still save the day. And for those who fancy a bit of vigilante action, go right ahead—it's all in the spirit of the game.

While burglar events are designed to be rare, thrill-seekers can increase their chances of a heist by activating the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc. It's all about adding that extra layer of excitement to your gameplay.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," The Sims' team shared. "A huge thank you to our dedicated team for making this happen. Robin Banks isn’t just here to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims' 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We can't wait to see the chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite being a decade old, The Sims 4 continues to thrive, drawing in over 15 million new players last year alone. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, the game, which was initially premium, took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, after going free-to-play in 2022, it saw an incredible surge, gaining 31 million new players immediately and reaching a total of 85 million by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
