What Energy Crystals Do in R.E.P.O. and How to Get More
Conquering a level in the co-op game R.E.P.O. is a significant achievement. After your victory, the Service Station awaits, offering a chance to purchase essential upgrades, including Energy Crystals. Here's what Energy Crystals do in R.E.P.O. and how to acquire more.
What Are Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.?
These shiny yellow crystals, found at the Service Station after completing the first level, cost between $7,000 and $9,000. Early in the game, when the difficulty is lower, they're usually cheaper, providing an opportunity to stock up if you had a successful run.
Purchasing an Energy Crystal adds an Energy Container/Station to your R.E.P.O. truck. This is a game-changer, allowing you to recharge tools like the Valuables or Extraction Tracker simply by placing them inside. This saves money on replacements and boosts efficiency. Items are recharged by placing them in the bin next to the container, easily identified by its yellow lightning bolt.
Energy Crystals automatically appear in the container upon purchase. However, their lifespan isn't unlimited; they deplete with use and eventually break, requiring replacement. Each crystal refills approximately four battery sections of an item; six crystals fully charge the Energy Container.
How To Get More Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.
Crystals are exclusively purchased at the Service Station, and can be expensive. To ensure you have enough funds, diligently collect valuables throughout each level. The Taxman only transports you to the Service Station after successfully completing a level with sufficient funds.
In particularly challenging levels, prioritizing survival and escaping with enough money to proceed might be wiser than risking losing valuable resources.
That's everything you need to know about Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O. and how to obtain them.
