Elon Musk endorses Path of Exile 2's major update and new naming feature
The developers behind Path of Exile 2 have released a notable update, version 0.1.1c, bringing a host of enhancements and fixes to the game. Grinding Gear Games continues to fine-tune the experience for players, ensuring that their latest installment in the popular series remains at the forefront of the gaming community on Steam.
Among the new items introduced in this update, several critical bugs have been addressed:
- Resolved an issue that could result in players losing access to the Cartwalker Machine during character transfers from solo leagues.
- Fixed multiple bugs in local cooperative mode, preventing player 2 from unlocking player 1's UI elements, such as high-level maps.
- Corrected a bug in local cooperative mode that hindered player 2's ability to swiftly navigate between control points.
In addition to these bug fixes, the update introduces a new feature that enhances player resilience in challenging areas:
- Players now have up to five revival attempts in the Distorted Possessions area, with the number of attempts varying based on the difficulty level.
- Similar revival attempts have been added to the battle against Olroth, the Source of the Fall, with up to five chances depending on difficulty.
- In the Essence of Nonexistence realm, players can also benefit from up to five revival attempts, based on difficulty. If a player dies before defeating the Host in The Mists, they will be revived in the boss battle arena, and the fight will restart.
Grinding Gear Games also continues to enhance the service aspect of the game, with the latest update allowing players to rename their characters directly through the website, adding a personalized touch to the gaming experience.
Despite some initial hiccups at the launch of Path of Exile 2, the developers at Grinding Gear Games are committed to improving the game. Their active engagement with the community and continuous updates ensure that Path of Exile 2 remains a top contender on the Steam charts.
