Dead Island 2 New Update Brings New Game Plus, New Zombies and New Horde Mode

Dead Island 2's Patch 6 introduces thrilling new game modes and content! This update includes New Game Plus (NG+), a challenging horde mode, and exciting additions to the Ultimate Edition.

Conquer New Challenges with New Game Plus

Patch 6 unleashes New Game Plus, allowing players to replay the game at increased difficulty with their existing character and inventory. Expect enhanced rewards: three extra skill slots, a higher level cap, new weapons and skins, and formidable new enemies.

The Revenants, powerful Apex zombie variants, pose a significant threat with unpredictable behaviors. Developers promise a significantly heightened challenge, especially when combined with NG+'s difficulty boost. To counter this, all weapons in NG+ are more powerful than their base game counterparts, with a greater variety of fixed-rarity weapons to discover.

A new horde mode, "Neighborhood Watch," blends horde and tower defense elements. Players defend their base over five in-game days, completing objectives and battling relentless zombie hordes to earn valuable gear.
