Cyberpunk 2077 Lunar DLC Details Revealed
Cyberpunk 2077 was initially slated to include an ambitious Moon-based expansion before development was halted. Blogger and dataminer SirMZK uncovered files revealing CD Projekt RED's vision for this cosmic adventure.
Lost Lunar Landscapes Unearthed
Game files contain references to Moon surface maps, detailed zones including an Exterior Movie Set and Drug Lab, and even rover vehicle models. The lunar environment was designed to be expansive—roughly one-quarter Night City's size—promising open-world exploration beyond Earth.
A Glimpse of What Could Have Been
The canceled expansion would have introduced the Crystal Palace space station, currently only visible in one ending sequence where V peers from a spaceship window. Datamining also revealed remnants of a zero-gravity bar tied to abandoned quest "201," previously connected to Arasaka's storyline.
Speculation continues about whether these concepts might reappear in Orion—CD Projekt RED's forthcoming Cyberpunk sequel—though no official confirmation exists.
Though shelved, these discoveries showcase CD Projekt RED's daring vision to merge retro-futurism with space exploration—an interstellar evolution for Night City's cyberpunk dystopia that never came to orbit.
