"Climb Knight Update: New Minigames Added This Month"

Author : Isabella Apr 15,2025

If there's one thing you can say about mobile developer AppSir, it's that their games are always worth a look. From our glowing review of Spooky Pixel Hero to their latest release, Climb Knight, AppSir consistently delivers distinct indie fun that hits the mark. And now, Climb Knight is set to receive a major update on February 25th, which is completely free!

You might be wondering, "Didn't you already cover Climb Knight?" Indeed, we did, and we gave it a positive review. Surprisingly, AppSir was taken aback by the reception Climb Knight received, leading them to celebrate with this new update. What can you expect? Three new one-bit minigames and a mysterious advisor character inspired by Apple Newton shareware. Given AppSir's track record, there's likely more to this advisor and new gameplay than meets the eye.

AppSir proves that a dedicated indie developer can break the mold and find success on mobile platforms. While I wouldn't label them as the "New Blood" of smartphones, their work shares similarities with the excellent Faith trilogy, especially in their spooky, retro aesthetic.
