In the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a stunning humanoid bird graces the tea shop, requesting a refined cup of tea. Following her visit, a trio of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry arrive, all dressed in suits and carrying briefcases. Their destination is a boardroom where they need to make a presentation.

Despite being informed by Alta that they are off course, the businessmen decline her offer of tea, insisting they only drink coffee. Instead of leaving when they learn coffee isn't available, they decide to wait, hoping it will become an option.

Boro, the tea shop's owner, explains that coffee has never grown in this forest, leaving Alta frustrated. However, the arrival of an interdimensional figure named Zenith, who is fascinated by the businessmen, changes everything.

Zenith, intrigued by these men, agrees to try Alta's tea. Having only experienced coffee as a beverage made from ingredients brewed with hot water, tea becomes a novel discovery for them.

How to Unlock Coffee Beans in Wanderstop

To unlock coffee beans, you need to make Zenith a cup of tea infused with something valuable. This can be a book, trinket, pot, mug, a small plant (including the pot), or even a photograph. After tasting the unique tea, Zenith, curious about the difference between coffee and tea, asks Alta what's needed to brew coffee for their beloved businessmen. Alta's mention of "coffee beans" sparks an epiphany for Zenith.

Using their connection to the Infinite Path, Zenith summons coffee beans to the forest, allowing them to grow in the clearing for the first time. They also provide instructions on harvesting and brewing the beans, which are added to Alta's Field Guide.

How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop

Coffee beans begin to grow wild in the clearing after Zenith's intervention, respawning randomly. Harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds or other objects. You can store them in your ingredients pocket, carry one at a time, or place them on shelves, tables, floors, or outside.

Before brewing, the beans must be cleaned as they are covered in dirt. Use the dishwasher and wait for the clean beans to be delivered by the dish trains in the tea room.

To brew coffee, pour water into the tea maker and heat it (or not, based on the order), then activate the gear to pour the water into the infuser. Only one bean is needed to brew coffee, though customers may request additional beans or other ingredients. After brewing, kick the gear to pour the coffee into the kettle below, then decant it into mugs for serving to customers, Boro, or Alta.

Offering coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and provides a new option for other customers. Even Boro is willing to try it, though he admits he's not a fan.

That's the complete process for unlocking, harvesting, and brewing coffee in Wanderstop.
