"Avowed: Guide to Respecing Your Character"
Feeling frustrated with how your character in *Avowed* is performing? It's common to feel that way, especially if you've chosen a class or allocated attributes that aren't quite working out. Don't worry! In this guide, I'll walk you through the process of respeccing and adjusting your stats in *Avowed* to help you craft the perfect build.
How to Respec Your Character in Avowed (& When You Want To)
Choosing the right character build can be tricky at the start of any game. You might not know what playstyle you'll enjoy the most until you're deep into the gameplay. That's where respeccing comes into play. If you're not enjoying your current character setup, it's time to respec. I've experienced this myself in *Avowed*, where I initially opted for a full wizard build, only to find it wasn't working out. Switching to a spellsword improved my gameplay significantly. Later on, you might want to respec again to fine-tune your character for maximum effectiveness in battles and to achieve the build of your dreams.
How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed

To respec your abilities in *Avowed*, navigate to the "Abilities" section in the menu. You'll find a "Reset Points" option at the bottom of the screen. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, and it increases as you progress. Simply select the option, confirm, and pay the listed price. This action will reset all your ability points across all skill trees, except for the "Godlike" abilities, which remain unchanged and are earned through in-game decisions.
How to Respec Your Attributes in Avowed

If you're satisfied with your abilities but want to tweak your attributes, or if you're looking to overhaul your entire build, head to the "Character" section in the menu. At the bottom, beneath the attribute names, you'll see a button with an associated cost. The initial cost here is also 100 Copper Skeyt, and it increases over time. Press the button, pay the cost, and you'll recover your attribute points to reallocate as desired.
How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed

Want to respec your companion in *Avowed*? Open the menu, go to the "Abilities" section, and select the "Companions" tab. Below your companion's name, you'll see an icon and a button that, when pressed, allows you to exchange Copper Skeyt for a respec. Hit the button, confirm your choice, and you'll get back all the points you've spent on that character. Remember, you'll need to respec each companion individually.
And that's how you can respec in *Avowed* to tailor your gameplay experience to your liking.
