Assetto Corsa EVO Launches Today, Rivaling Gran Turismo and Forza

For enthusiasts of automobile simulators, January 16, 2025, marks a historic day. Kunos Simulazioni Studios will launch Assetto Corsa EVO on Steam early access, promising a thrilling experience for racing fans. At launch, players will have access to 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Even in its early access phase, the game boasts impressive physics, control, and realistic car behavior, setting a new standard in the genre.

A standout feature of Assetto Corsa EVO is the free-ride mode, offering a unique way to explore the game's environments. A significant update scheduled for the summer of 2025 will introduce roads surrounding the famous Nürburgring track. This fully laser-scanned open world will span up to 1600 square kilometers and will be expanded progressively, enhancing the game's immersive quality.

Assetto Corsa EVO aims to be the ultimate car simulator, challenging established giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport with its photorealistic graphics and advanced physics. Upon debut, the game is expected to feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with more content to be added through future free updates. Each circuit will replicate real-world conditions, including rolling tires or wet pavement, and will include animated spectators to heighten the realism of the racing experience.

The developers have also refined the dynamics of the automobiles, including suspension damping and shock absorption, to provide an unparalleled driving feel. The Driving Academy mode will be a key single-player feature during Early Access, where players can earn a license by completing the aforementioned tracks within specified time limits. This license will unlock access to the game's top-tier vehicles, adding a rewarding progression system to the mix.
