AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Officially Confirmed

At Computex 2025, AMD has officially unveiled the Radeon RX 9060 XT, marking a strategic follow-up to the earlier release of the RX 9070 XT in March. While the company has kept most details under wraps, the specs we do know suggest a compelling mid-tier offering tailored for 1080p gaming enthusiasts.

The Radeon RX 9060 XT comes equipped with 32 Compute Units and a generous 16GB of GDDR6 memory—an impressive amount of VRAM for its expected price range. Given its compact design and modest power requirements, this GPU is estimated to have a Total Board Power (TBP) between 150W and 182W, making it significantly more power-efficient than its more powerful sibling, the RX 9070 XT.

Due to its reduced Compute Unit count and lower power consumption, the RX 9060 XT is expected to deliver lower performance compared to the RX 9070 XT. However, the trade-off should come in the form of a more accessible price point. Unfortunately, AMD has not yet disclosed the official pricing or release date for this graphics card.

The Mid-Range Market Heats Up

Although AMD hasn’t revealed the final cost of the Radeon RX 9060 XT, it’s expected to land in a competitive range, likely going head-to-head with the Intel Arc B580 and the newly launched RTX 5060. Both of these rival GPUs have power consumption ratings of 145W and 190W respectively, and have launched around the $250–$300 price bracket. Based on this context, AMD is likely aiming for a similar positioning.

Once the Radeon RX 9060 XT hits the market—which could be sooner than we think—gamers in the $300 range will have three distinct options from three major players in the GPU space. However, the RX 9060 XT brings a unique advantage to the table: it’s the only card in this segment to offer a full 16GB of VRAM, outpacing the 8GB on Nvidia’s RTX 5060 and the 12GB offered by Intel’s B580.

While real-world performance will ultimately determine its success, the RX 9060 XT’s larger memory buffer could provide better longevity as games continue to demand more video memory over time. Until we get full benchmark data and official pricing details, the Radeon RX 9060 XT remains one of the most intriguing budget-friendly GPUs to keep an eye on.
