Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Now $2,399

Author : Dylan May 15,2025

Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This is one of the most competitive prices you'll find for a prebuilt system with an RTX 5080 GPU, especially as other brands have been steadily increasing their prices since the RTX 50 series was launched in January. At Dell, the only other prebuilt PC with an RTX 5080 GPU is priced over $4,000. If you're considering building your own PC, good luck finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU; the cost alone could match that of this entire system.

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC features an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The current-gen Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled by a robust 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the entire system is powered by a 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is one of three new Blackwell graphics cards that are in high demand and nearly impossible to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be worth the upgrade – it doesn't offer a significant performance lead over the RTX 4080, although DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance the visual experience in supported games. However, for gamers looking to upgrade from older graphics cards, the RTX 5080 provides a substantial performance boost, particularly if you're interested in Nvidia's AI features."

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis

Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis design is similar to the 2024 R16 system but features minor aesthetic and cooling redesigns, along with updated components. The I/O panel is now positioned at the top of the case instead of the front, and the tempered glass window spans the entire side panel. Air intakes are now located at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the interior less dusty. All internal components have been refreshed, including a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to be released, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Prebuilt gaming PCs equipped with these GPUs are also out of stock, with prices increasing or extended delivery delays reported.
