Record Your Catch

Use this app to create and submit catch records for all English and Welsh under 10 metre (U10m) flag vessels that fish in UK waters. This tool is essential for ensuring that all U10m flag vessels accurately record their catch, which is crucial for UK fishing authorities to manage fishing levels sustainably.

You can use this service if you are a registered vessel owner or a skipper. If you are a registered vessel owner, you will receive an invite email. The timing of this email depends on your vessel size, and you have one calendar month after receiving the email to register and start using the service. If you are a skipper, you should contact the owner of the vessel to get an invite.

Please note that if you are a member of a producer organisation and lease quota, you should not use the online record your catch service. Instead, continue to record your catch using a paper logbook.

This service replaces the NEP1 form and the MSAR1 form. However, depending on your location, local Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities (IFCAs) may require additional information. It also replaces the requirement to complete a logbook when leasing fish quota and/or when fishing in 2 ICES areas (currently IV4/VIId and VIId/VIIe).
