The Witcher 3 adaptation in the vein of fantasy movies from the 1980s
Tech enthusiasts are leveraging modern technology to envision potential screen adaptations, with the Witcher series as their latest focus. A YouTube creator, Sora AI, has unveiled a concept trailer for a Witcher 3: Wild Hunt adaptation, skillfully emulating the aesthetic of 1980s cinema using neural network technology. The trailer features numerous recognizable characters from the Witcher universe, including Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, Triss Merigold, Regis, Dijkstra, and Priscilla, with only minor alterations to their appearances.
Recently, the developers of The Witcher 3 hinted at plans to incorporate Triss's wedding into the game. Originally conceived as the "Ashen Marriage" quest in Novigrad, the storyline depicts Triss's burgeoning feelings for Castello and her desire for a swift marriage. Geralt aids in the wedding preparations, tackling tasks such as clearing canal monsters, procuring alcohol, and selecting a wedding gift for Triss.
Interestingly, Triss's reaction is directly influenced by the gift Geralt chooses. Less elaborate gifts receive a lukewarm response, while the memory rose—a familiar item from The Witcher 2—elicits a powerful emotional reaction from her.
