Urshifu Debuts in Pokémon GO Battle Week with Gigantamax Machamp

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, trainers are gearing up for the thrilling climax of the season: Final Strike: GO Battle Week. Kicking off on May 21st, 2025, and running until May 27th, this event marks the culmination of your journey with Kubfu, leading to its evolution into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedicated effort, the time has come to witness the transformation of the determined little bear, Kubfu, into the formidable Urshifu. The choice between the two evolution styles hinges on your battle strategy. To unlock the Single Strike form, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike form, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead.

Alongside the evolution challenge, the event features a Special Research that continues the enthralling Seasonal storyline. Available until June 3rd, 2025, this research offers rewards such as Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon, including Charcadet with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp makes its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, trainers can enjoy numerous bonuses. You'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles, and the Max Particle storage cap increases to 1,600. All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, yielding 8× Max Particles during this period, and you'll also receive two extra Special Trades.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the timer, although the power boost remains constant.
