This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the concluding chapter in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, it was the last Star Wars film directed by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney seven years later.

Fans eagerly anticipated Revenge of the Sith as it promised the pivotal transformation of Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader. A central mystery was the fate of the Jedi. The film introduced Order 66, a sinister component of Palpatine's scheme where Clone Troopers, who had previously fought alongside the Jedi, were commanded to turn against and eliminate them. With thousands of Jedi serving at the time, it was plausible that some would escape this purge—beyond the few known to survive into the Original Trilogy.

Since then, canon Star Wars narratives have introduced several dozen Jedi who survived Order 66. We've compiled a list of the top 10 whose impact has been particularly significant. Their survival varied from fleeting to enduring, and in some cases, their ultimate destinies remain undisclosed. Yet, each of these Jedi lived to see another day after Palpatine's chilling command, "Execute Order 66."

Our criteria for this list require that these characters were part of the Jedi Order before Order 66, regardless of their final rank—be it Padawan, Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, or even a Jedi Initiate. Therefore, Force-users like Maul and Palpatine are excluded, as are those like Jod Na Nawood, who, despite receiving some Jedi training, were never officially part of the Order.

A notable mention is Asajj Ventress, who trained with Jedi Master Ky Narec on Rattatak for over 20 years. Though Narec considered her his Padawan, Ventress never visited Coruscant or met the Jedi Council. Her subsequent alignment with the Dark Side under Dooku complicates her status as a Jedi, making her an honorable mention.
