Thomas Waterzooi Launches Mobile Art Game "Please, Watch The Artwork"

Author : Stella Dec 05,2025

Thomas Waterzooi is back with another unconventional art-based puzzle game. This time, players are asked not to touch, but simply observe the artwork. The new title, Please, Watch The Artwork, is coming soon to mobile devices. It was revealed during the Day of the Devs showcase at Summer Game Fest 2025.

Please, Touch The Artwork and its sequel launched in 2022 and early 2024, respectively. Following their success, Please, Watch The Artwork continues the series' quirky exploration of interactive art with a more psychological approach.

This spin-off does not replace the eagerly awaited Please, Touch The Artwork 3, which Waterzooi confirmed is still in development. For a first look, check out the reveal below.

Please, Watch The Artwork on Mobile Is Shrouded in Eerie Silence and Subtle Dread

Essentially, it's a spot-the-difference game. You take on the role of a night guard at the MaMA (Museum of Animated Modern Art), monitoring surveillance feeds of paintings that mysteriously shift and transform.

Your task is to identify and report these changes before a creeping sense of unease overwhelms you. Inspired by the works of Edward Hopper, the game brings over 40 reimagined paintings to life across six themed galleries.

You'll encounter scenes like desolate diners, melancholic bedrooms, and shadowy streets that loop and breathe. There is no background music; only the ambient sounds of each environment. Audio itself becomes a detail to monitor closely, as sound anomalies also count as differences.

The game is coming to Android, iOS, PC, and Nintendo Switch. A release window for Please, Watch The Artwork on mobile has been suggested for October. Waterzooi announced the game in an ASMR-style voiceover, adding to its surreal atmosphere. Learn more about the title on the official website.
