Following the success of Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Studios has hinted at a new game

Arrowhead Studios, fresh off the overwhelmingly positive reception of Helldivers 2 (released a year ago), is currently developing a "high-concept" game. Creative director Johan Pilestedt took to social media to announce the project and solicit fan input.

Community suggestions ranged widely, encompassing a Smash TV remake and Star Fox-inspired titles. Pilestedt confirmed prior internal consideration of a Smash TV remake and hinted at a Star Fox-esque project within the "rail game" genre.

While specifics remain undisclosed, Arrowhead's community engagement is evident. The studio's listening to player feedback, building upon the success of Helldivers 2, a standout title of 2024.

A recent update has significantly boosted Helldivers 2's player count on PS5. The "Omens of Tyranny" update, a surprise reveal at the 2024 Game Awards, introduced the highly anticipated Illuminate enemy faction, a 4x4 Fast Recon Vehicle, and urban warfare maps. This, coupled with rumors of a Killzone crossover, positions Helldivers 2 for continued success in 2025. The update has been very well-received by players.
