Square Enix Announces The EOS Of Romancing SaGa Re:universe

Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for the global release.

Two Months Remain

In-app purchases and Google Play Point exchanges ended September 29th, 2024, following the last maintenance. Players have until December to enjoy the game.

The global version, launched in June 2020, received mixed reception. Despite impressive visuals and a generous gacha system, the lack of content updates, particularly the absence of Solistia and 6-star units (available in the Japanese version for nearly a year), disappointed many. This content gap ultimately contributed to the game's closure.

Community Reaction

Square Enix has closed several games in 2024, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile titles. Romancing SaGa Re:universe joins this list.
