Smite 2 Is Now Free-to-Play

The much-anticipated open beta for *Smite 2* is now available for free on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Steam Deck, marking an exciting chapter for fans of the third-person MOBA. This release follows a successful closed alpha phase and brings with it a new patch from Titan Forge Games, which introduces a host of new content including gods, game modes, and more.
*Smite 2*, revealed a year ago, promises an enhanced experience over its predecessor, leveraging the power of Unreal Engine 5. The sequel boasts refined visuals and combat mechanics, along with a revamped item shop that allows players to choose items freely, regardless of their chosen god’s classification. Players can still embody various deities from different cultures and engage in thrilling 5v5 battles to siege the enemy team, much like in the original *Smite*.
Starting January 14, players across multiple platforms can dive into *Smite 2's* open beta. The new update introduces Aladdin, a god crafted specifically for *Smite 2*. Aladdin brings unique abilities to the game, such as running along walls and reviving after death thanks to his companion's three wishes. His ultimate ability lets him use his lamp to capture enemies, forcing them into a 1v1 showdown, adding a thrilling twist to battles.
