Skate Series Returns: Console Playtesting Now Available
Exciting news for console gamers! The highly anticipated skate. title, a new installment in the popular Skate franchise, is now available for playtesting on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. While PC players have been testing the game since mid-2022, this marks the first opportunity for Xbox and PlayStation users to experience a new Skate game in over 15 years.
The last main entry in the series, Skate 3, launched in 2010. Despite a dedicated fanbase, EA seemingly shelved the franchise for an extended period. However, persistent fan demand, fueled by the #Skate4 hashtag, ultimately led to the creation of a dedicated development team and the announcement of skate.. Last fall, early access was slated for 2025, and this console playtest represents significant progress toward that goal.
