However, a tweet from Konami posted on X (formerly Twitter) on May 20 clarified that Silent Hill f is a standalone game, separate from the main series. This makes it an ideal entry point for newcomers.

Despite its standalone nature, the developers have included subtle nods to past games, as mentioned during the Silent Hill Transmission in March. The connection to the series' titular town might be a stretch, given that the original Silent Hill series was set in 1990s USA, whereas Silent Hill f takes place in 1960s Japan. While Konami is moving away from the classic setting, they've promised to deliver the same psychological horror experience that fans love.

The event is scheduled for July 4, from 3:15 PM to 4:05 PM at the Los Angeles Convention Center, California. Tickets for the show and registration for the panel are currently available through Anime Expo's post. There have been no official announcements about the event being livestreamed.
