SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble in Historic Crossover Event!

Sonic Rumble may not have officially launched worldwide yet, but it's already making waves with its first crossover event, dubbed Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This exciting event is live now and will run until May 7th, just before the global launch scheduled for May 8th. Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is available in over 40 countries. It had its first pre-launch in Summer 2024, rolling out in regions including the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia. The second pre-launch expanded to Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and beyond.

What’s in Store?

If you're in one of the countries where the game has soft-launched, you can jump into the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. The Altered Beast crew makes a comeback, and you can grab the Werewolf transformation for free. Nostalgic for those beast modes? The Werebear and Weredragon are also available, though with different acquisition methods. The Weredragon is part of the Premium Pass, while the Werebear might be purchasable with regular rings.

Adding a touch of Fantasy Zone, Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa join the fray. Opa-Opa is included in the Premium Pass, while Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, which cost 700 standard rings each. Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee have also rolled into the event. If you're keen on getting AiAi, you'll need to spend 729 Red Star Rings. Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover

During matches, you can earn extra rewards by collecting SEGA logos. While it might seem odd that the event is live before the official global release, SEGA has assured fans that most of these pre-release rewards will be available again in the future.

This first crossover event celebrates SEGA's rich history and current lineup, featuring a delightful mix of monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and transformed beasts alongside Sonic and friends, setting the stage for Sonic Rumble's promising future.

You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store now, or await its official release on May 8th in your region. And don't miss our coverage on Vampire Survivors’ SaGa-Based DLC Emerald Diorama, along with the latest Cross-Save Update.
