"Will The Last of Us See a Season 4? Craig Mazin on Narrative Completion"
The Last of Us' highly acclaimed TV adaptation has already secured a third season before the second even premiered, sparking curiosity about its future. Showrunner Craig Mazin has hinted that a fourth season is virtually necessary to fully tell the story derived from the two video games developed by Naughty Dog.
In an interview with Collider, Mazin explained that attempting to conclude the narrative in just three seasons would stretch Season 3 excessively. He noted, "Season 3 would take forever" to wrap up the story, suggesting that while Season 3 might be extended beyond the length of Season 2, "there's no way to complete this narrative in a third season."
Mazin expressed optimism about the show's future, stating, "Hopefully, we'll earn our keep enough to come back and finish it in a fourth. That's the most likely outcome."
