Installing the More Players Mod in R.E.P.O.
By default, R.E.P.O. supports up to six players in a single lobby—which is already quite generous. However, if you're aiming for even bigger groups, there's a mod for that.
To get started, you’ll need to install BepInEx, the popular modding framework used across many Unity-based games. You can find it on Thunderstore. Once BepInEx is installed, follow these steps:
- Download the More Players mod from Thunderstore.
- Extract the downloaded .zip file.
- Move the plugins folder into your BepInEx directory within the R.E.P.O. game files.
Once completed, the More Players mod will be successfully installed and ready for configuration.
How to Increase Lobby Size
Now that the mod is installed, you can customize the maximum number of players allowed in your lobby by editing the configuration file.
Here’s how:
- Navigate to the BepInEx config folder.
- Locate and open the file named
zelofi.MorePlayers.cfg
using Notepad or any text editor. - Find the line labeled Maximum Players.
- Adjust the value to your desired player limit (e.g., 8 players).
- Save the changes and close the file.
- Launch R.E.P.O.—your lobby should now support the updated player count.
Keep in mind: Setting the player limit too high may cause instability or crashes, so test carefully and adjust based on your system's performance.
