What is Phasmophobia's Challenge Mode?

Challenge Mode presents a weekly contract with unique conditions and equipment. The challenge resets every Sunday. Each week brings a different challenge, ranging in difficulty. Some are comparable to standard investigations, while others drastically alter ghost behavior or limit equipment. To complete a challenge, you must successfully identify and complete the contract three times (not necessarily consecutively) before the weekly reset. Correctly identifying the ghost is crucial for each attempt. Optional objectives offer bonus points, useful for character prestige. A successful challenge earns a $5,000 base reward plus accumulated points.

Conquering the "Do As I Command" Challenge

The "Do As I Command" challenge is considered one of the easier Challenge Mode options. The alterations to ghost behavior and equipment are minimal. The challenge description highlights the need to actively elicit evidence from a less-active-than-usual ghost. The contract takes place exclusively on the Sunny Meadows map (the "Restricted" version is excluded).

The challenge provides a pre-set Tier 3 equipment loadout. The fuse box is functional, so activate it upon arrival. While Sunny Meadows can be challenging, especially with an inactive ghost, this challenge includes a significant advantage: all seven Cursed Possessions are available.

These possessions, located in the chapel, can significantly aid in locating and interacting with the ghost. Items like the Haunted Mirror or Ouija Board expedite ghost location, while the Voodoo Doll or Monkey Paw can provoke ghost activity. Remember, using these items carries risks like sanity loss and cursed hunts.
