When Does Every Party Member Join In Metaphor: ReFantazio?

Metaphor: ReFantazio's expansive party: A guide to recruitment timing.

Beyond the protagonist, seven companions join your adventure in Metaphor: ReFantazio, each contributing to combat. While Gallica is present from the outset, her combat role is initially limited.

Spoiler Warning: This guide reveals the recruitment dates for each party member. Reading ahead may spoil some narrative surprises.

Each party member's arrival is tied to specific story events. Note that some characters initially join without immediate combat control, gaining full participation after their "awakening." This awakening unlocks their Archetype, usable by other party members.

Party Member Recruitment Schedule:

• Strohl (Warrior): Joins on June 5th (Border Fort events), but his Archetype awakens on June 6th (Nord Mines), enabling full party participation. Until then, he's AI-controlled.

• Grius: Joins after the Border Fort events, becoming a full party member on June 6th. He doesn't undergo an awakening like others, but his Archetype can be summoned once Strohl awakens.

• Hulkenberg (Knight): Interacts with the party from June 10th, fully joining and awakening her Archetype during the boss fight on June 11th.

• Heismay (Thief): His awakening and party integration occur on July 4th within Martira's main dungeon.

• Junah (Masked Dancer): Joins the party upon her awakening on August 13th.

• Eupha (Summoner): Her recruitment is flexible. Completing the Dragon Temple Dungeon between August 19th and September 4th (Viraga Island) adds her to the party for the final boss. However, her Bond quest begins after this deadline.

• Basilio (Berserker): Awakens and joins during the Saint's Day events on September 11th. Full combat participation is available the following day, if chosen.
