Overwatch 2 Reveals New China-Exclusive Events

Overwatch 2's triumphant return to China is set for February 19th, bringing with it a wealth of rewards and exciting events. Players will have the opportunity to catch up on missed content, including Battle Pass rewards from Seasons 1 through 9. This will be achieved through a multi-week celebratory event featuring popular in-game activities.

A technical test, conducted from January 8th to 15th, provided a sneak peek at the upcoming content, including "Overwatch: Classic" and heroes released since the game's previous unavailability in China.

The highlight of the relaunch is the promise of Season 15, which will feature skin bundles inspired by Chinese mythology. While specifics remain scarce, the potential for entirely new skins, or perhaps a broader thematic integration into the season's content, is exciting. Details are expected to emerge in early February, shortly before the season's launch on February 18th.

In the interim, global players can participate in the "Min 1, Max 3" 6v6 test (January 21st - February 4th), featuring the classic 2-2-2 team composition. The Lunar New Year and "Moth Meta Overwatch: Classic" events are also scheduled before Season 15. Although Chinese players missed these earlier events, the upcoming celebrations promise to be equally captivating.
