Nintendo's latest financial report confirms the release of several first-party titles in 2025. Fans can look forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns HD launching on January 16th, and Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are set to hit the shelves this year, though specific release dates are yet to be announced.
While no other projects have been disclosed, the much-anticipated Nintendo Direct is scheduled for April 2nd, 2025. The exact broadcast time will be shared later via Nintendo's official website and social media channels. Although the focus is expected to be on the Nintendo Switch 2, fans are eager for more exclusive titles to be revealed or teased during the event.
Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Ahead Of Launch

The eagerly awaited Nintendo Switch 2 is also set to launch in 2025, with the financial report suggesting a release in the latter half of the year. To build excitement, Nintendo will host live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events at 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. While most locations have closed their registrations, a waitlist is available for those still hoping to attend. For the Japan leg of the tour, ticket applications are open until February 20th JST.

Super Nintendo World Expands To Orlando, Florida
Nintendo is taking its IPs to new heights with the opening of a second Super Nintendo World in the United States. Set to debut at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe on May 22nd, 2025, this new park will bring the vibrant worlds of Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country to life. This follows the successful launch of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood in February 2023.
Furthermore, plans are in place to open Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore in 2025, though specific details remain under wraps.
