Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Poster Revealed — and Someone's Trying to Lure Us Back to Fazbear's
The highly anticipated sequel to the *Five Nights at Freddy’s* film adaptation, simply titled *Five Nights at Freddy’s 2*, has officially unveiled its poster — and fans are already buzzing with excitement. The artwork gives us our first glimpse into what might lie ahead as we return to the eerie halls of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
At the center of the poster is a mysterious children's toy known as the FazTalker — a device that looks like a cross between a retro two-way radio and a Fisher-Price kid-friendly microphone set. Designed in the likeness of Freddy Fazbear himself, the toy features speakers or a microphone built into the ears and an open mouth. Instead of a bowtie, there's a digital screen displaying the chilling message: “You there?”
This cryptic phrase raises more than a few questions. Could someone be trying to reach out to Mike Schmidt, portrayed once again by Josh Hutcherson? Given the events of the first movie, it’s not unreasonable to suspect this message could be linked to William Afton — the sinister figure played by Matthew Lillard who founded Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and orchestrated the tragedy behind its haunted animatronics.
While Afton was seemingly eliminated in the original film — having transformed into the terrifying Springtrap animatronic — his ghostly presence may still linger. This poster hints at the possibility of him reaching out from beyond the grave, continuing his dark legacy through supernatural communication.
Alternatively, the FazTalker could belong to Mike’s younger sister, Abby, who was introduced in the first film. Since both Mike and Abby have previously experienced paranormal contact through dreams and drawings, it's conceivable that the FazTalker could serve as another conduit for the trapped spirits within the pizzeria. Whether it's being used by the ghosts of lost children or manipulated by Afton’s lingering evil remains to be seen — but either way, it doesn’t bode well.
Universal Studios also released the official tagline for the sequel: “Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances.” Chilling words that only heighten the suspense — especially considering how intense the first film was.
The original *Five Nights at Freddy’s* movie hit theaters in October 2023, raking in an impressive $80 million on opening weekend and eventually grossing nearly $300 million globally. The success paved the way for this follow-up, which continues to expand the cinematic universe of Scott Cawthon’s beloved horror franchise.
Written by Scott Cawthon and directed by Emma Tammi — who also directed the successful first installment — *Five Nights at Freddy’s 2* is scheduled to hit theaters on December 5, 2025. If this poster is any indication, we’re in for another spine-chilling experience that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
