Every MCU Movie Tier List

With the release of Captain America: Brave New World, it's time to revisit the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), now boasting a remarkable 35 films. But which MCU film reigns supreme in your opinion? Do you harbor a fondness for the early origin stories like Iron Man? Or do you prefer the thrilling team-ups that culminated in the Infinity Saga? Share your preferences using our interactive tier list tool below.

The sheer number of films makes choosing difficult. Remember, this list encompasses only Kevin Feige's MCU productions; Sony's Marvel films are excluded (sorry, X-Men—except Wolverine). Here's my personal tier list, reflecting my viewing enjoyment over the years:

Simon Cardy's MCU Tier List

Sadly, Brave New World falls short of expectations for me, burdened by what I consider the MCU's clumsiest script to date, relegating it to the D tier. My placement of 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine in the lower tier might surprise some, but it simply didn't resonate with me. (You can find a detailed explanation of my reasoning elsewhere.) However, I don't believe it's the MCU's absolute worst; that dubious honor currently belongs to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, an easy D-tier entry.

Conversely, my top tier showcases five films I deem truly exceptional. Captain America: Civil War and Winter Soldier easily earn S-tier rankings for their effective exploration of the MCU's emotional core and paranoid espionage themes, respectively. Thor: Ragnarok stands out as one of the funniest comedies of the past decade, and Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame masterfully delivered a phenomenal conclusion to the series' most pivotal chapter.

Disagree? Believe No Way Home is the best of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy? Think Black Panther deserves an S-tier ranking? Create your own MCU movie tier list below to compare your rankings (S, A, B, C, and D tiers) with the IGN community.
