Madden NFL 26 Sets Release Date, Targets Nintendo Switch 2, Skips PS4 and Xbox One

Electronic Arts has officially announced the release date for the highly anticipated next installment in the Madden NFL series, marking the franchise's complete transition to the current-generation consoles. Madden NFL 26 is set to launch on August 14, 2025, with a three-day early access period for Deluxe Edition pre-orders beginning on August 11. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC through the EA app for Windows, Steam, and the newly supported Nintendo Switch 2.

This marks the first time the Madden series will appear on Nintendo's hybrid console, while simultaneously bidding farewell to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. Neither of the previous-generation consoles are listed as compatible with Madden NFL 26, ensuring the series remains firmly rooted in the PS5 and Xbox Series era.
