New Lilo & Stitch Trailer Gives Us Our Best Look Yet at Live-Action Lilo, Cobra Bubbles, and Pleakley
The live-action remake of Disney's beloved animated classic, Lilo & Stitch, has unveiled its official trailer, offering a captivating glimpse into Maia Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen as Pleakley. While previous teasers showcased Stitch, this trailer centers on Kealoha, providing a compelling comparison to Daveigh Chase's iconic performance in the 2002 original.
The trailer also features Zach Galifianakis as Jumba and Magnussen's Pleakley, showcasing an intriguing twist: Jumba and Pleakley are initially disguised as their human actors. A brief flash, however, reveals Pleakley in his true alien form. The trailer faithfully recreates iconic scenes, including Stitch's dramatic arrival resembling a falling star, his canine disguise at the animal shelter, and the heartwarming "Ohana means family" moment.
Lilo & Stitch arrives in theaters on May 23, 2025, joining the ranks of Disney's live-action remakes. This release follows closely on the heels of the live-action Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, premiering March 21st.
